Your primary responsibility is to ensure material requirements, planning & availability support the company’s manufacturing demand. Working as a key team member alongside other functional groups, you will lead the implementation of MRP and automated planning tools, improve the overall methods for material handling and overseeing all aspects of inventory management and logistics.
Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations
Assume full ownership for planning and materials execution for the company.
Effectively design and plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant staff members.
Ensure the alignment of the materials management strategy with the business strategies driving sales, marketing, finance, and manufacturing.
Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve a common objective.
Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on the forecast, demand variation and material lead times.
Setup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks).
Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.
Ensure and promote compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience
BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related disciplines or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of experience in a buyer/planner/material scheduler role working for within the electronic manufacturing environment.
Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management, and warehousing disciplines.
Experience establishing and employing demand-pull material planning methods.
Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel.
Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and thrive in a collaborative team-based environment.
Analytical with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.

Manage purchasing, planning activities and select suppliers for best cost, quality, delivery and service.
Ensure materials are purchased to quoted pricing, manage suppliers to meet company production targets, schedules and cost targets.
Electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, PCBs, etc.
Supply chain management skills, inventory control principles, MRP/ERP concepts.
Follow written and verbal instructions, make basic arithmetic computations, establish effective business and working relationships, read, understand, and use various cataloging systems, compare information and recognize discrepancies, prepare reports and keep accurate records.
